The book is all about the human body from the digestive system to the skeleton and everything in between。 There is a lot of detail but not too much that makes it difficult for the children to read。 The writing is split up into small bubbles of writing and the children are able to work their way round the book in a creative way。 Having the flaps in the book also add that element of excitement making it a fun learning tool。 It is written in an informative, factual but informal way which is benefic The book is all about the human body from the digestive system to the skeleton and everything in between。 There is a lot of detail but not too much that makes it difficult for the children to read。 The writing is split up into small bubbles of writing and the children are able to work their way round the book in a creative way。 Having the flaps in the book also add that element of excitement making it a fun learning tool。 It is written in an informative, factual but informal way which is beneficial because it is adding to the children’s vocabulary as well as understanding things that are going on with their own bodies in a fun way。 I love how interactive it is and would never fail to get children excited。 There are so many links you can make with science and would be a fantastic tool to use when introducing different processes and body parts in biology。 It would be useful throughout KS1-2。 Even if the younger children are not fully aware of all the terms they are still able to use their fine motor skills when using the flaps etc。 You could link it to the film Inside Out if you want to include work on emotions and feelings for kids who are slightly older。 。。。more

Besser geht es nun wirklich nicht mehr! Dieses Buch war ein absolutes Highlight für mich und auch für meinen Neffen! Ganz lieben Gruß Sonja/Shaaniel 。。。more

I love the Usborne Flap books。 They are so rich in information。 They make learning so much fun! There are flaps within flaps。 It's packed with lots of information, but written simple for a child to understand。 My toddler loves to open the flaps as I read them to her。 The diagrams bring the information to life which enhances the understanding level。 I have other books about the human body。 I highly recommend this book as one to start kids off。 It's easy to disguise。 I love the Usborne Flap books。 They are so rich in information。 They make learning so much fun! There are flaps within flaps。 It's packed with lots of information, but written simple for a child to understand。 My toddler loves to open the flaps as I read them to her。 The diagrams bring the information to life which enhances the understanding level。 I have other books about the human body。 I highly recommend this book as one to start kids off。 It's easy to disguise。 。。。more

This is a favorite for my kids。 They love lifting the flaps, naming the different parts of the body, connecting with the information, giggling about the poop moving through the intestines, and asking a lot of questions。 I love that it is fun and educational。 I'm learning right along with them。 This is a favorite for my kids。 They love lifting the flaps, naming the different parts of the body, connecting with the information, giggling about the poop moving through the intestines, and asking a lot of questions。 I love that it is fun and educational。 I'm learning right along with them。 。。。more
Abigail,
It's hard to explain things about the body, especially to kids with limited vocabulary。 I would have written this more efficiently and I paraphrase when I read。 But the flaps are fun, and a cool way to looking inside the layers of the body。 It's hard to explain things about the body, especially to kids with limited vocabulary。 I would have written this more efficiently and I paraphrase when I read。 But the flaps are fun, and a cool way to looking inside the layers of the body。 。。。more

This book is great for students who are just beginning to learn about their bodies。 Every page has many flaps that have facts and explanations under them。 This book talks about what kids should eat, your bones and muscles, staying alive which talks about blood and oxygen, growing and healing, your brain and your senses。 Its a great book to keep your students engaged。

This is an interactive book with over a hundred flaps designed to teach children how the inside of their body works。 Showing, in terms that children would understand, how digestion and the brain work together。 Additionally, it tells us how the heart beats and how the healing process works。 I'm rating this book five stars because of how engaging it is。 I enjoyed the bright drawings on each page and how sometimes there would be multiple flaps on a single body part。 I remember as a kid being curiou This is an interactive book with over a hundred flaps designed to teach children how the inside of their body works。 Showing, in terms that children would understand, how digestion and the brain work together。 Additionally, it tells us how the heart beats and how the healing process works。 I'm rating this book five stars because of how engaging it is。 I enjoyed the bright drawings on each page and how sometimes there would be multiple flaps on a single body part。 I remember as a kid being curious on how my body works。 I would nag my mother constantly on why scabs formed and ask how many bones are in the body。 I wish I had a book like this when I was younger because it answered all the questions that went through my mind about my body。 I recommend reading this in a classroom or just at home to teach kids about how the human body works in an interactive and engaging way。 。。。more
Annie,
This book is chock full of fantastic information about how our bodies work (did you know you breathe enough air to fill about 10k balloons each day??)。 Not as detailed as See Inside Your Body, it is perfect for a little bit younger readers。 My daughter is 2 and a half and loves to open the flaps (and then the next flaps) and turn through the super THICK board pages。This book details information on your senses, your muscles, your brain, and yes, how you digest food (everybody loves the poop!)。 I This book is chock full of fantastic information about how our bodies work (did you know you breathe enough air to fill about 10k balloons each day??)。 Not as detailed as See Inside Your Body, it is perfect for a little bit younger readers。 My daughter is 2 and a half and loves to open the flaps (and then the next flaps) and turn through the super THICK board pages。This book details information on your senses, your muscles, your brain, and yes, how you digest food (everybody loves the poop!)。 I am already using it to help teach my daughter about how her body works, why certain things are important (sleep, vegetables), and also how to take care of herself (nails keep growing until you cut them, it's important to clean boo-boos)。 。。。more
